The U.S. Department of Education in June postponed the gainful-employment disclosures until July 2019. The disclosures—data about degree- and certificate-vocational programs’ graduate employment rates or debt levels—are to be rewritten. This is the second postponement by the Trump administration for the rules. They were weakened in January by U.S. education secretary Betsy DeVos, who nixed a disclosure on graduate earnings. The department is supposed to be rewriting the rules.
