K-6 curriculum materials provider Studies Weekly (Orem, UT) in May named John McCurdy CEO, succeeding Ed Rickers, who is retiring. With 29 years in the technology industry, McCurdy joins Studies Weekly after playing a consultative role with the company. He most recently was senior vice president at sales firm Impartner Software. 

Bridgepoint Education (San Diego) in June named Jay Cherry vice president of enrollment services & operations, reporting to Brent Fitch, senior vice president of shared services operations; Mary Beth Orson associate vice president, senior corporate attorney, reporting to Matt Mitchell, senior vice president, deputy general counsel; and Tobin Anselmi senior director of talent management and development, reporting to Marc Brown, senior vice president, chief human resources officer. Cherry previously was chief operating officer of National Credit Adjusters; Orson previously was vice president, chief ethics & compliance officer and vice president, legal & deputy general counsel at Apollo Education Group (Phoenix), owner of the University of Phoenix; and Anselmi previously was director of global talent management & organizational effectiveness at Materion Corp.
