Kathy Mickey is Senior Analyst/Managing Editor of the Education Group at Simba Information, where she is lead analyst in the K-12 and college education markets. Kathy writes the weekly B2B business intelligence newsletter, Educational Marketer, as well as the annual market forecast reports, Publishing for the PreK-12 Market and College Publishing Market Forecast. Kathy joined Simba in 2000 after almost 20 years as a reporter and editor at weekly and daily newspapers, where her focus was education.

Karen Meaney
Analyst/Editor
Karen Meaney is the editor of the biweekly B2B newsletter Electronic Education Report, which covers the K-12 educational technology arena. Prior to joining Simba Information in 2004, Karen was an education reporter at the Journal News, Gannett's daily newspaper in Westchester County, NY, and also worked in marketing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and an MBA from Fordham University.

Valerie Chernetskyy
Analyst/Editor
Valerie Chernetskyy is an editor for Simba Information's Education Group, where she writes content for the newsletters and reports published by Simba. Additionally, she manages online publishing for Simba's two newsletter websites. In 2007, Valerie joined the company as Analyst/Assistant Editor of Simba’s Yellow Pages Group. Prior to that role, she was an editorial assistant at Stamford’s daily newspaper, The Advocate, where she covered local news and events. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentraion in journalism and a Master’s degree in Communications from Fairfield University.

Farah Pierre
Production Coordinator
Farah Pierre is the production coordinator for Simba Information, managing the layout and editing of all newsletters and reports published by Simba. Farah joined the company in 2009 while she was working as a production assistant for a magazine company in Stamford. Prior to both positions, Farah worked as a temp for many prestigious companies all located in Stamford.
