Higher education infrastructure software and services provider Jenzabar (Boston) in September named Les Zimmerman vice president of product development, leading the technological vision, strategic direction, and product development of Jenzabar One, the company’s cloud-based solution for higher-education. After beginning his career in software development at Jenzabar, Zimmerman most recently worked as a software engineer at a property casualty insurance company.

Digital textbook distributor Bibliotech (Chicago) in August named Sean Devine advisor to the Board of Directors. Devine is a former CEO of CourseSmart, the etextbook and digital materials distribution site subsumed by VitalSource (Raleigh, NC), a digital materials platform owned Ingram Content Group (La Vergne, TN). Bibliotech expects to tap Devine’s expertise in building online media companies as it continues to innovate on the collection and distribution of digital academic content globally. The privately held company offers flexible content delivery models to serve a variety of course material needs on campus.

Digital portfolio developer bulb (Austin, TX) in September named Bill Miller vice president for content and Jodie Buenning vice president of marketing and communications. Miller joined bulb from creative development firm Polymath Innovations (Madison, WI), where he led content development for interactive e-learning courses, classroom curriculum, and museum audio tours. Buenning most recently was chief education strategist at educational marketing firm MDR (Shelton, CT).
